Learning Management System (LMS) - Meridian

Meridian Listed in Visionaries Quadrant in 2008

Chantilly, Va. - July 3, 2008 - Meridian Knowledge Solutions LLC has been positioned by Gartner, Inc. in the "visionaries" quadrant of the 2008 Magic Quadrant for Corporate Learning Systems (LMS) report1 . The Corporate Learning Systems Magic Quadrant provides a synopsis of and advice about software firms that deliver, analyze and manage training via the web.

"Our goal has been to develop an LMS that is not only incredibly easy to use and upgrade but also gives training professionals Web 2.0 technology - such as online collaboration software - that extends the reach of learning," said Paul Somerville, Meridian's co-founder and managing partner. "Our vision has always been to take a learning-comes-first approach, which focuses R&D on learning technology - our core offering. Along with offering what's arguably the market's newest model LMS, we're integrating our product with the best compensation and recruiting software."

For its latest Magic Quadrant report, Gartner evaluated Meridian's flagship LMS - Meridian Global LMS, which gives managers an easy-to-use software platform for putting in place training programs, carrying out employee performance reviews and building online business communities.

Gartner's Magic Quadrant positions vendors between vertical and horizontal axes with the horizontal axis representing completeness of vision and the vertical axis indicating ability to execute. In 2008, on the completeness-of-vision axis, Gartner particularly evaluated software systems based on the comprehensiveness of a vendor's offering. Vendors with software systems that presented more effective components and capabilities generally improved in the areas of analytics, content creation and resources management, including traditional classroom and professional services (such as for planning, implementation and content).
