Chantilly, Va. - January 13, 2009 - Meridian Knowledge Solutions, LLC earned a Best of Elearning! Excellence Award for its flagship software product - Meridian Global LMS - in the "Best Enterprise LMS" category. Meridian was among a small handful of finalists named by Elearning! Magazine in this year's Enterprise LMS category.

"The Best of Elearning! Awards program is the only readers' choice awards in the market," reports Catherine Upton, group publisher of Elearning! Magazine. "Recognition of this type is increasingly important as more companies deploy e-learning initiatives to impact business and improve efficiencies."

More than 845 nominations were made by executives for the Best of Elearning!, of which, 43 solutions from 23 companies were honored. From Best Learning Management System to Web Conferencing Solution, these products rank as "Best in Class" according to executives and e-learning users.

In 2008, Meridian released a new version of Meridian Global LMS, which delivers, analyzes and manages training via the Internet. Meridian Global LMS gives managers easy-to-use functions for carrying out employee performance reviews, staying on top of compliance training and building online communities. The Web 2.0 features of Meridian's LMS include "team rooms," which consist of online forums that instructors and course-takers can use to develop themselves professionally.

Meridian and its learning management system (LMS) also garnered the following kudos in 2008:

• Listed in "visionaries" quadrant of Gartner's Magic Quadrant for Corporate Learning Systems;
• Rated Number One in "ease of use for learners," "ease of use for administrators," and "usefulness" in The eLearning Guild's "Guild 360º Report on Learning Management Systems;"
• Named a "Top Training and Simulation Company" by Military Training Technology magazine; and
• Earned a Gold "Excellence in Customer Service Award" from Chief Learning Officer magazine.
