Learning Management Systems - LMS - MeridianApplication HostingMeridian Global can be deployed either behind a client firewall or as an ASP solution in Meridian's secure hosting center. Meridian provides comprehensive and secure hosting services. We provide the hardware, software, maintenance, bandwidth, backups and all services related to the hosting of your LMS with a 99.5% uptime and available Service Level Agreement. Meridian provides robust hosting capabilities through the use of two separate hosting facilities. The hosting sites are geographically dispersed, using two different Internet Service Providers (ISPs). This approach provides substantial risk mitigation in the event of an operating site shutdown or complete site failure. The operational hosting environment is located in our dedicated, secure space in an Cogent co-location, Internet service exchange ensuring 100% power availability and 100% network connectivity. Our co-location offers a reliable infrastructure, fast connectivity and 24x7 network monitoring. We selected Cogent as our co-location partner to take advantage of the industry's most advanced power, security, network and fire suppression technologies. This state-of-the-art data center is built to ensure efficient, reliable and continuous operations - even in the event of severe natural or man-made catastrophes. The co-location data center is connected directly to Cogent's global all-optical IP architecture over a dedicated fiber optic network that reaches across the globe. With a commitment to providing uninterrupted service to its customers, Cogent uses the highest standards for building and designing each data center to withstand natural disasters, security breaches (physical and cyber), power outages, and networking and computing failures. Such measures, among others, include mechanical systems with multiple levels of redundancy; a superior cooling system that ensures climate temperatures do not affect computing power; an advanced Continuous Power Supply (CPS) system that protects against degraded commercial power and interruptions; a Very Early Smoke Detection Alarm (VESDA) that constantly samples the air for dangerous particles; round-the-clock surveillance. The Continuity of Operations facility is located in our Network Operations Center (NOC) within our secure office environment. The NOC remains secure 24/7/365, with controlled access using an integrated card entry system. The NOC maintains a separate environmental controls system with co-located support personnel. The office area outside of the secure NOC also uses controlled access through the use of a card reader system and a traffic management point. During non-office hours, the physical security is enhanced with a comprehensive motion sensor, fire, and emergency management system. This system includes 24/7/365 monitoring with real-time integration with local law enforcement. Meridian supports a number of classified/sensitive organizations and has a wealth of experience with classified organizations and highly secured implementations. This includes work with classified intelligence organizations, major pharmaceutical clients, as well as the Department of Defense (DoD). Our DoD compliant secure facility standing furthers our physical security of the NOC, which is co-located with that classified facility. Our hosting facilities have completed Department of Defense Information Security inspections and associated audits which include both physical and virtual audits.
